Call for Nominations – Lower Valley Fire Protection District Board of Directors

To the electors of the Lower Valley Fire Protection District, Mesa County, Colorado:

An election will be held on May 6, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., to elect two (2) Directors to serve four-year terms on the Lower Valley Fire Protection District Board of Directors.

Eligibility & Nomination Process

Eligible electors from Districts 1 and 5 who are interested in serving on the Board may obtain a Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form at:

The Designated Election Official (DEO) is Diana Manzanares. The DEO's office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For inquiries, contact (970) 858-3133 ext. 2.

Deadline for Self-Nomination Forms:
Completed forms must be submitted by February 28, 2025 (close of business)—at least 67 days before the election.

Absentee Ballots

Applications for absentee ballots must be filed with the DEO no later than April 21, 2025 (close of business).
